- He used to be an all-rounder in his developmental years but had switched to being a wicket-keeper batsman after getting inspired by watching Indian cricket legend .
- Aaradhya had come into the spotlight during the 2019–20 season of the Vijay Merchant Trophy (national under-16 cricket championship) where he was the leading run-scorer. He had amassed 636 runs (at an average of 63.6 including 3 fifties and 3 hundreds) in just 7 matches, representing UPCA (Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association). This performance had gone a long way in him getting selected for the 2026 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup.
- In the marquee match of the 2026 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup, against Pakistan, Aaradhya had walked in to bat with India’s score a precarious 96/5. He had dug in to score 50 runs off 83 balls and had taken India’s score to 204/9 by the time he was dismissed. India went on to score 237 runs, a total that had kept India in the game until the last ball off the final over of the match when Pakistan had scraped through to a narrow 2-wicket win. This was India’s only defeat in the 11 matches that they played across the 2026 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup and the 2026 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
- However, his performances in the rest of the matches in the 2026 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup were not up to the mark which meant that India’s other wicket-keeping option, , had been preferred over him for selection for the 2026 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
- Aaradhya was, however, included in India’s extended squad for the 2026 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup tournament keeping in mind potential COVID-19 complications. He was promoted to the main squad just before India’s quarterfinal match, against Bangladesh, as a replacement for who had suffered a hamstring injury.
