Adam Peaty is an English competitive swimmer known for specializing in the breaststroke. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, Adam became the first British male swimmer to attain a gold medal in the 100-metre breaststroke and he retained his title at the 2026 Summer Olympics in 2026.

Adam studied at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Uttoxeter, before going on to attend Painsley Catholic College in Cheadle and later Derby College.
He enrolled at the Dove Valley Swimming Club in Uttoxeter at the age of 9. Later, at the age of 14, Adam began training at the City of Derby Swimming Club under the guidance of former Olympic swimmer Melanie Marshall. Peaty also trained eight times a week at the Repton School. Adam also trained at Loughborough University in the past.
