In case, she has to undertake an extreme diet to prepare for a photo shoot or movie, she only consumes a sweet potato, chicken breasts, and low-fat milk throughout the day.

- She holds a 2nd-degree black belt in taekwondo.
- Before she got her breakthrough as a singer and actress, she used to work as an online shopping model.
- She decided to audition for Mnet Superstar K in 2009. She managed to pass through the preliminary round but was eventually eliminated.
- Suzy eventually managed to catch the attention of a scout from JYP Entertainment. She was eventually signed as a trainee.
