    1. His album of comedic monologues, The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart, had been ranked as the 20th-best-selling comedy album in history. It also won the 1961 Grammy Award for “Best Album of the Year”.
    2. Bob Newhart became very popular with his portrayal of Arthur Jeffries a.k.a. Professor Proton in the sci-fi television sitcom, The Big Bang Theory, and this role won him the 2013 Emmy Award in the “Guest Actor in a Comedy Series” category.
