- He relocated to Seoul, South Korea as an infant with his family.
- Haha made his first theatrical film appearance as Park Dong-sun in the 2005 romantic comedy film Love in Magic, starring Park Jin-hee and Yeon Jung-hoon.
- In 2006, he brought to life the character of Jin Soo in the action comedy film My Boss, My Teacher. The film serves as a sequel to the 2001 film My Boss, My Hero.
- He voiced the character of Mambo (a rebellious and goofy purple cat-like creature who works for the Wizard) in the Korean dub of the 2006 computer-animated family comedy film Happily N’Ever After.
