- He had initially planned to become a politician but later decided to become an actor and moved to Los Angeles for better opportunities.
- During his early days in Los Angeles, he worked as a busboy to make the ends meet and also took up a job at the telemarketing company.
- After dropping out of Boston University, Ike started working for the Chicago Transit Authority.
- Ike was inspired to become a comedian after he watched a comedy show at The Vic Theatre which included performances of several comedians.
- He started his comedic career by taking classes at ImprovOlympic, The Second City, and Annoyance Theatre. Although he didn’t get much success initially, he decided to fight it out.
- Early in his career, Ike also worked with the comedy troupe Boom Chicago and spent around 2 years with them in Amsterdam.
- While shooting for the movie Blockers, he was involved in a fall accident while performing a stunt which fractured 2 cervical vertebrae in his neck.
- In 2012, Ike started working as an executive story editor on the comedy show, The Mindy Project, while starring on the show as well.
