    Jalen Suggs is an American professional basketball player who has represented the Orlando Magic (2026–Present), as a point guard/shooting guard, in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was drafted 5th overall in the 1st round of the 2026 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic. At the youth level, representing the United States, he had clinched the ‘Gold’ medal at the 2019 FIBA (Fédération Internationale de Basketball Amateur) Under-19 Basketball World Cup held in Greece, the 2018 FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup held in Argentina, and the 2017 FIBA Americas Under-16 Championship held in Argentina.

    1. In his freshman year at high school, Jalen had averaged 21.5 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists per game. He had helped his team win the Class 2A state championship that year, scoring 15 points in the 2nd half of the final match. His performances had seen him named to the ‘MaxPreps Freshman All-American First Team’.
    2. In his sophomore year, he had led his team to another Class 2A state title and had earned ‘Associated Press All-State First Team’ and ‘MaxPreps Sophomore All-American Second Team’ honors.
    3. In his junior year, he had led his team to a 3rd successive Class 2A state championship and was selected in the ‘Associated Press All-State First Team’ and the ‘MaxPreps Junior All-American Third Team’.
    4. The basketball season in his senior year was curtailed due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. The sports program had come to an abrupt end just a day after his team had won a section title and the team was thus unable to defend its state championship. He had earned ‘MaxPreps All-American First Team’ and ‘Minnesota Mr. Basketball’ honors.
