First Album

- His parents divorced when he was young because of his father’s drinking addiction.
- JB auditioned for JYP Entertainment in 2009 along with his GOT7 fellow member and both stood 1st in the open audition.
- In May 2012, his agency formed a duo band called ‘JJ Project’ consisting of JB and Jinyoung and they debuted with single album Bounce.
