- One of his classmates at elementary and high school was the filmmaker, writer, political activist, and former actress, Sarah Polley.
- Kenneth was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurodegenerative disorder, in 2018 and publicly spoke about his medical condition in February 2026. He began using a power wheelchair in October 2019 and completely lost his voice in August 2026 before succumbing to the disease in February 2026.
- He is best remembered for portraying 3 different Klingon characters on Star Trek: Discovery: Kol in season 1 and Kol-Sha and Tenavik in season 2. Additionally, he played the human character named Aurellio in the show’s 3rd season. The showrunners accommodated Kenneth’s real-life use of a wheelchair into the series by making Aurellio appear in a hoverchair onscreen.
