Ranveer Brar is an Indian chef, restaurateur, author, and TV personality who started his career in January 1999 as an executive trainee with the Taj Group of Hotels, a chain of Indian luxury hotels. In January 2001, he joined the group as a sous chef working in its hotels in Goa and Delhi. He then worked as an executive chef at the Radisson Blu Hotel (2003-2005) in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, The Claridges Hotel (2005-2007) in Delhi, and a fine Franco-Asian restaurant called Banq (2007-2009) in Boston, Massachusetts. From 2009 to 2011, he was the corporate chef at One World Cuisine Hospitality Group in Boston. Between September 2011 and December 2014, he was the senior executive chef at Accor in Mumbai, India. He has also served as a co-judge of MasterChef India, the Indian version of the globally popular competitive cooking game show franchise MasterChef Australia, in the show’s 4th and 6th seasons (2015 and 2019-2026). He runs a very popular YouTube channel titled Chef Ranveer Brar where he shares his recipes and provides cooking masterclasses. The channel has amassed more than 5.5 million subscribers.

- Ranveer’s love for cooking was inspired by witnessing the work and tasting the food served by the local kebab vendors in his hometown of Lucknow. He had even volunteered to work as an apprentice for one such vendor named Munir Ustad. Although his family initially resisted his career choice, they eventually supported him completely.
- In 2003, when he joined the Radisson Blu Hotel (2003-2005) in Noida, he became the then youngest executive chef in India.
- He has hosted multiple cooking and travel-based TV shows including Breakfast Xpress & Snack Attack, The Great Indian Rasoi, Homemade, Health Bhi Taste Bhi, Ranveer’s Cafe, Global Menu, Northern Flavours – Meethi Masti, Station Master’s Tiffin, Himalayas the Offbeat Adventure, Thank God Its Fryday, Secrets Behind Food, Raja Rasoi Aur Andaaz Anokha, Ranveer On The Road.
- In the spring of 2016, he launched a premium patisserie called English Vinglish in Mumbai that featured fusion Indian desserts. In December of that year, he had opened an all-vegetarian fine-dining restaurant in Mumbai called TAG Gourmart Kitchen.
