    Ruby Fields Facts

    1. She started writing songs at the age of 11 and began busking at the age of 13.
    2. She spent many years of her childhood learning how to build guitars and repairing music equipment from her friend’s father.
    3. Fields grew up listening to bands like AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, and Fleetwood Mac.
    4. In 2018, her debut EP titled Your Dad’s Opinion for Dinner was released.
    5. In 2019, another EP titled Permanent Hermit was released. This EP contained Fields’s most successful releases including Dinosaurs, Climate, and Trouble.
    6. She started performing live with supporting band members Adam Newling, Tas Wilson, and Patrick Rogers in 2016. Newling acts as the band’s lead guitarist, Wilson is the bass guitarist while Rogers plays the drums.
    7. In 2017, she uploaded her debut single I Want on the Triple J Unearthed website. On the same day, the crowd-favorite track was then played on the Triple J radio station nationwide. With another single titled P Plates, this song made it to the top 200 of the Triple J Hottest 100, 2017. In that same year, Fields also performed at The Plot.
    8. In 2018, she also performed at the South by Southwest. Around the same time, Fields showed support for the Ball Park Music and San Cisco on tour. It was revealed that she was expected to perform at the St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival in 2019.
    9. Her album Climate was dropped in March 2019. It was followed by an announcement of her 2nd studio EP Permanent Hermit which was released on May 3, 2019.
