    1. In his early 20s, he was infatuated with the actress and had even expressed his desire to marry her someday. His family, however, was opposed to their union as they belonged to different religions. Nevertheless, the two worked together in Rail Ka Dibba (1953), Boy Friend (1961), and Naqab (1955).
    2. The actor (son of ) was born on the day that Shammi Kapoor married his second wife, Neila Devi Gohil.
    3. He is honored with a brass statue at the Walk of the Stars in Bandstand located in Bandra, Mumbai.
    4. Shammi Kapoor’s last film appearance was playing Ustad Jameel Khan alongside his grandnephew Ranbir Kapoor in ‘s Rockstar (2011).
