He had finished as a runner-up at the 2012 New York Pro, the 2014 Finland Pro, the 2015 Wing of Strength Texas Pro, and the 2026 Texas Pro. - Steve, in his youth, had excelled in several sports including baseball, American football, and ice hockey. It was in ice hockey that he had a big name for himself at the junior and regional levels.
- He had joined the gym to improve his fitness for ice hockey but there he began to develop a serious interest in bodybuilding. He soon decided that he would be pursuing bodybuilding as a professional career.
- At the age of 21, he joined Dallas Fire-Rescue Department as a firefighter/paramedic to earn the money required to support his passion for bodybuilding. He kept working there, in parallel with his bodybuilding career, until 2016.
- He is the owner of Kuclo Productions LLC, an organization that hosts and promotes the Kuclo Classic bodybuilding event in Dallas, Michigan, and Wyoming.
